Food Photography and Styling Course

For the last 3 years now, I’ve been teaching a food photography and styling coarse at ICE (The Institute of Culinary Education). I’m joined by Laurie Knoop (the stylist) and Jamie Tiempo. Jamie and I shoot the students work. I make prints with a little portable printer (which makes amazingly good prints) so the students get to see their projects in print. This makes all the difference since students are often startled by how different the print looks from their original concept.
The class has been so popular–it typically sells out at 16 with people coming from all over the world–that Laurie and I want to create an advanced class, limit it to 6 students, and teach it at her studio. We’re also talking about doing a book that combines food photography and styling in a way that enables beginning and not so beginning photographers to take decent shots for their blogs, websites and portfolios.
I’m also proposing the class at the Maine Media Workshops, taught every year in Rockport (near Camden). The only problem is that they have something similar and don’t want to compete with themselves. But I’m hoping it flies because it’s an awful lot of fun and I’d love to spend a week (the workshops last 6 days) in Maine in July.

    Hi!
I was wondering when is your next class at ICE? I would also like to know if you are organizing classes somewhere else.
    Thank you in advance,
    Aleks
